Typeform-style forms, free
YeetForm now has a one-question-at-a-time layout on every plan, including Free. What shipped, the bug that hid it for months, and what the AI does with it.
What shipped
As of today, every YeetForm form can run in a conversational layout: one question per screen, Enter to continue, A, B, C keys to pick an answer, a progress bar at the top. It's on every plan, including Free, with unlimited forms and responses.
You can try it without signing up on the product survey template.
It was in the dropdown for months
The embarrassing part first. "Conversational" has been in the form schema since April and in the Design panel since June. Picking it did nothing. The renderer ignored it and showed the normal card layout, and the AI prompt literally said "never use conversational" so the AI wouldn't pick a layout that didn't exist.
Nobody reported it in four months.
What it does now
- One question per screen, centered, with a big label and the question number.
- Enter moves forward. Up and down arrows move between questions. Shift+Enter makes a new line in long answers.
- Select questions show letter keys. Press B and it picks the second option and moves on after a short pause.
- Ratings and NPS move on as soon as you pick a number.
- Conditional logic and page branching work the same as in the other layouts.
The last question never submits on its own. You press Enter or the button. An early version auto-submitted when the last question was a rating, and the anti-spam check didn't have time to finish, so the first try always failed.
The AI picks it for you
When you describe a survey, feedback form, NPS, quiz or research screener, the AI now builds it in the conversational layout. Sign-ups and applications get the split layout with a brand panel. Long operational forms (orders, registrations with 15 short fields) stay on the card, because one question per screen is slow when the questions are "street address" and "postal code".
For card and split forms, the AI also puts short pairs side by side now: first and last name, start and end date.
The rest of the day
- A command palette in the builder. Cmd+K (Ctrl+K on Windows) or type / to add a field.
- Cover images on any form.
- Responses appear live while the responses page is open.
- All 80 templates have a live preview in all 9 languages. 20 of them use the new layout.
- 101 tests. Before today there were zero.
A code review before pushing found 9 bugs in the new layout. The worst one made the question disappear after the first step. All 9 were fixed before it went live.
Why this matters for the Typeform comparison
Typeform's free plan gives you a few responses a month. Our own Typeform comparison listed the one-question style as the main thing Typeform did better. YeetForm now has the same style with unlimited responses on the free plan, and the AI builds the form from a description. The comparison table got a new row today.
If you try it and something feels off, use the feedback button in the app. I read all of them.
