MCP server
Build and read forms without leaving your AI agent
The YeetForm MCP server lets an AI agent like Claude Code or Cursor create, publish, and read your forms and responses directly from a chat.
Set up in 3 steps
1
Create an API key
In your YeetForm dashboard, go to Settings → API keys and create a new key. It starts with yf_live_.
2
Add the MCP server
Run this in Claude Code (or paste the equivalent into your client's MCP config):
claude mcp add --transport http yeetform https://yeetform.io/api/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer yf_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"3
Ask your agent to build something
Try a prompt like:
Create a customer feedback form with NPS and a comment field, then give me the linkCursor, Claude Desktop & other MCP clients
Any client that speaks MCP over HTTP can connect the same way. Add this to your client's MCP server config, with your own API key:
{
"mcpServers": {
"yeetform": {
"url": "https://yeetform.io/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer yf_live_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"
}
}
}
}Tools this server exposes
Six tools, all scoped to your authenticated workspace:
| list_forms | List non-archived forms in your workspace. |
| get_form | Fetch a form plus its published and draft schemas. |
| create_form | Create a form from a schema, optionally publishing it. |
| list_responses | List responses submitted to a form. |
| get_response | Fetch a single response by id. |
| generate_form_from_description | AI-generate a form schema from plain English (uses one AI generation). |
Things to try
“Create a customer feedback form with NPS and a comment field, then give me the link”
“List my forms and tell me which one has the most responses”
“Generate an event RSVP form with a dietary-restrictions field and publish it”
“Show me the last 10 responses to my "Product survey" form”
“Get the schema for my waitlist form so I can see its fields”
“Create a job application form with a file upload for resumes”
Security
- , API keys are scoped to a single workspace, an agent can only see and edit forms and responses in that workspace.
- , Revoke a key any time from Settings → API keys; connected agents lose access immediately.
- , The same per-key rate limits as the REST API apply, so a runaway agent loop can't hammer your account indefinitely.
- , generate_form_from_description consumes one AI generation against your plan's monthly limit, same as generating from the dashboard.

What is MCP?+
Model Context Protocol is an open standard that lets AI agents like Claude call tools exposed by a server. YeetForm's MCP server exposes tools for creating, publishing and reading forms and responses.
Which clients can I use?+
Any MCP-compatible client that supports the streamable HTTP transport, Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and others. Setup is the same URL and bearer token everywhere; only the config format differs.
Does this cost extra?+
No. The MCP server is included on every plan. The only thing that's metered is generate_form_from_description, which consumes one AI generation from your existing monthly quota, the same quota the dashboard's AI builder uses.
Can my agent see other workspaces' forms?+
No. Every request is authenticated with your API key, which is scoped to exactly one workspace. There's no way for a tool call to read or write another workspace's data.
Can I create and publish a form in one step?+
Yes. create_form takes a publish flag, ask your agent to publish immediately, or leave it as a draft to review in the dashboard first.
